ABOUT

My name is Margaux, I'm originally from the mountains of Jura near Switzerland.

I have been based on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork since 2008 and in 2017, moved near Bantry. I met my late partner in 2010, Ubi Evans, an incredible leather worker.

Over several years, he taught me everything about leather work as well as most of his trade secrets (he was self taught). I'm very fortunate to have had someone so talented teaching me this old craft.

Absolutely everything is made by my hands, in my workshop. The only machine you will see is a radio! Eventually I may buy a stitching machine to help me finish smaller items like wallets and purses.I make a variety of leather items including belts, handbags, wallets, purses, wristbands and also few smaller items of jewelry.
